Day One

So we decided to start a blog so all of our loved ones could easily keep track of us. Calvin and I have been married almost one year. We currently live in College Station where Calvin in working on his PhD. in Sports Management at A&M and I work for the Texas AgriLife Extension Service. I am the program coordinator for Texas Friendly Hospitality program, which is customer service and hospitality training for the state of Texas. I am still working on getting my pictures posted - for some reason I can not get them to go under my text - so if anyone has some info. on that - it would be great! Stay tuned ~ pictures and more to come!!

Ok - so I think it will take me awhile to keep up with a blog, but I will try. I decided to post a few pics of what Calvin and I have been up to lately. In July Calvin planned an amazing surprise weekend in Austin for our 1st anniversary. We went home to Amarillo in Aug. and it was great to see everyone. Our friend Gavin got married in San Antonio and we thoroughly enjoyed the Riverwalk. School has started back, so things are crowed and busy, but we adjust. We are looking forward to Fall and enjoying the beginning of Football season!!

On Feb. 5 th Calvin ruptured his Achilles tendon. He had a two inch gap from his heel to the end of the torn tendon. He had surgery within 48 hours. He was in a cast and on crutches for 8 weeks. He finally got off crutches, out of a cast and boot, and has started jogging and riding a bike this week. He should be back to basketball in Aug. Sorry the pics (two before surgery and one after) are a little graphic - but he wanted me to share!!
